Grinding isn't too difficult, spend an hour or two on the metal hands. Use the pep power as it comes up. You only need to be 6570 to actually beat the final boss, but everything in act 3 is considered post game and the "true ending" since you technically beat the game in act 2. Do the other quests and what not.
